At the bottom of each article, there is a comments section.
To submit a comment, you need to enter a name for yourself. It doesn’t need to be your real full name, it can just be an alias or nickname. If you make another comment from the same device or web browser, your name should automatically stay the same.
Despite the fact that the process of posting a comment includes a field for website URL, and email address, you don’t need to fill those in.
The content on Users News, including blogs, stories and other comments are written by and about real people. Please ensure your comments are respectful, kind and considerate – even when there is a disagreement.
All comments require approval by a moderator to go live. At a minimum, moderators will review all new comments every weekday morning, Sydney time. Moderator decisions are final and no discussion will be entered into.
If you see a comment that you think needs reviewing, you can report it to our moderator (click the ‘flag’ button on the comment).
A comment will not be approved if the moderator considers it to be stigmatising, discriminating, or incriminating. Lateral violence will also not be tolerated – no matter what we use, how much we use or how we use it, we are part of the same community.
NUAA does not encourage or discourage drug use and this site reflects that position.
People who use drugs have many different experiences and ways of talking about their experiences. There are also many tropes and stories, and all have validity. However, commentators should be aware they can only speak for themselves. This should be demonstrated by using phrases like “for me” and “in my opinion”.
Commenters should be mindful of adhering to NUAA & NADA’s Language Matters resource which encourages person-centred language.
